Mumbai college among Hackathon winners

Vivekanand College of Engineering, Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, and the Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology, Ahmedabad, were among the six winners of the week-long hackathon held at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. The teams won among 30 participants across the categories of energy, water and transportation, and the participants included coders, engineers and designers, who collaborated intensively to come up with ideas that could solve urban design problems. The ideas were evaluated by venture capitalists and government representatives. Vivekanand College of Engineering, Mumbai topped the water category while National Law University, Assam and Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology shared the second position.
